From there, I became more and more suspicious, particularly when they wanted to sign my name. They had a very convincing story (I'm no beginner) and they convinced me to give them access to my machine. They proceeded to show me where SonicWall Firewall Network Security was selling for ~$1200 for 2 years at Wal-Mart.
I managed to get control of my computer again by telling them I couldn't pay them, was on SS and had no bank account. They said they would fix it all for $259 for 2 years. They said I had 1259 viruses and was infected by a botnet who had access to my keystrokes, so all the passwords were no good. Wow! When I clicked on the first link (Bellsouth), I was told my computer was used by 6 people, 2 from Russia and the rest from the US (Colorado was one state).
